W9XT BOARD W/ CT 9.23

When using CT vers. 9.23 and my W9XT board, I have come to discover a pretty significant 
problem for which I have not been able to determine any operator error on this end.

If I hit F1 thru F4 for my pre-recorded message transmission,
trying to terminate same by hitting the escape key does no good.

I do not remember ever having (and am sure I did not have)
this problem on earlier versions !?

BY THE WAY, I AM CONFIGURED AS LPT2.
