A friend of mine asked me after WPX ended how to make CT send sequential
QSO numbers. First I told him he should have called me during the contest
as I do take real emergency calls like that even during major JA runs! In
case others have the same question you need to put the # sign after the 5NN
(or 599) in the F2 key (shift F2 to program).

Also, another tip is how to speed up or slow down the CW speed of what you
program in F1, F2 and F3. Put either minus or plus sign(s) in front of
what you want to speed up or slow down. For example, say you've set CT to
30 WPM. ++5NN----# in F2 would send 5NN at 34 WPM and the QSO number at
26 WPM. Note there are four minus signs in this example. Two to get back
to 30 WPM after the 5NN speed up and then two more to drop to 26 WPM. To
pause between the 599 and the # just leave space(s).

I don't believe this information is in the CT manual (if it is, please let
me know). I plan to add these two items the next time I update the CT
Operating Aids sheets that several hundred of you have from me (if you
don't have it and want one, just send me an e-mail). While I'm updating it
those of you that are using it what else would you like to see in it or see
changed?
