Hi Ken,
Thought I'd report this phenomenon. (I hate to call it a
"bug". After all, it is a Beta version.)
When set up for Field Day, CT fails to track band changes
made by manually punching the new band. This occurs on my
Icom IC-765, and it was duplicated yesterday by K2WK on his
FT-1000. Say you're on 40 meters, and punch the 20 meter
button on the radio. The radio changes frequency to 20
meters, and CT correctly reads the frequency in the band
map, but the frequency on the logging line fails to change
to 20 meters. You must manually move the band in CT
(Alt-F1/F2) to get the correct band on the logging line.
If you go into either the PacketCluster Callouts window, or
into the Band Map, and grab a spot, the radio changes to the
correct spot, and the logging line WILL change to the
correct band.
When set up for CQWW, version 9.37 will change the logging
line to the correct band, when you manually change bands by
punching the button on the radio, so this phenomenon seems
to be specific to Field Day. I did not try to duplicate
this using any other contests, except Field Day, or CQWW, so
I don't know if it happens when setup for other contests,
although K2WK was using 9.37 for another contest (I think he
said All Asia - I forget) and he said 9.37 worked correctly
for that one too. So, it seems this may be specific to
Field Day.
Thought you would want to check this out.
