If you didn't, what you can do is to set up a bat file to run it with the command on the command line you want, and make that an icon on the desktop,i.e., a short cut to that bat file. Then right click the icon, select Properties, select Misc, and then click Exclusive Mode on the mouse option. If you make your first log entry on 2M, you get an "Out of Band! 14000000" message, also if you do an ALT-F4 you get the message "On Spot Freq:  14.0". IF the first entry is on 50 Mhz or 222 Mhz, NO PROBLEM !!!  Any contacts on 2M after the first Log entry are OK!!! My solution is to log the first entry, if it is a 2M contact, as a 6M contact and then go back and change the Band to 144 Mhz. Not a big problem if you know the "work around", but in the middle of a contest it could WASTE quite a bit of time. Beware and Be Warned !!!  This is a GOOD reason to check a new software Version out ahead of time, not in the Heat of Battle. 73 es GL Bob - WA1OFR - FN42ma -- Submissions: ct-user@contesting.com Administrative requests: ct-user-REQUEST@contesting.com WWW: http://www.contesting.com/ct/ Questions: owner-ct-user@contesting.com From Mark Shelton Fri May 29 14:44:40 1998 From: Mark Shelton (Mark Shelton) Date: Fri, 29 May 1998 08:44:40 -0500 Subject: [ct-user] [CT-User] Importing WriteLog v9/RTTY files. I fell into the right answer by accident. My task was to close out WIN95 to dos and run CT with my mouse. My .bat file that I used for CT came from another machine. The first steps in this file were to go into the mouse sub directory, activate mouse.com and return to the CT directory to run CT. Apparently the way WIN95 is set up the mouse steps in the .bat file were unnecessary, as once I remmed them out of the file, the mouse worked in CT. Thanks again for your responses. Infact trying with a 486 and after with also 386 computers with different radios (I use ICOM IC781 and IC761) the solution is only to not use news release. Perhaps the problem is in new TSR DVP utility. I have already send a message to K1EA but, up to now, he have no time to reply about this matter. I have noted that if you register the voice and send call (with F1 key) all is good but when you stop the program and the voice is write on the hard disk, when you restart the program there is noise under nodulation. Actually, for avoid any problem, I using the old release 9.10. Hopping to have the solution as soon as possible. I have tried version 9.27, 9.33, and 9.37 all with the same results. As Steve, and others pointed out the problem is most apparent when recording many sequences, (ie CQ, exch, QSL, QRZ, etc) and most problematic after the recordings are committed to disk, ct is shutdown and restarted. The work around that I have devised is to re-record all messages and complete alaphbet and numeric phoentics when CT is started, and no problem. At bit of a workaround, but quite manageable. 73 all, CUL TNX de Lloyd, kc2agl -- Submissions: ct-user@contesting.com Administrative requests: ct-user-REQUEST@contesting.com WWW: http://www.contesting.com/ct/ Questions: owner-ct-user@contesting.com From P & V Nesbit Sat May 30 05:09:28 1998 From: P & V Nesbit (P & V Nesbit) Date: Sat, 30 May 1998 14:09:28 +1000 Subject: [ct-user] Message formatting Message-ID: <3.0.1.32.19980530140928.0069b6e0@popa.melbpc.org.au> This is a small point, but I have noticed a few messages lately which are chopped into alternating long and short lines. To avoid this annoyance, when preparing messages, could people please NOT press at the end of each line? The lines are normally wrapped by the receiver's email program. If your emailer doesn't wrap lines, activate the option under "Settings". Thanks. Infact trying with a 486 and after with also 386 computers with different radios (I use ICOM IC781 and IC761) the solution is only to not use news release.
