re the loss of meaningful comm ft-1000mp and CT

We found that the comm errors occurred with straight dos, and no tnc or
network involved, used CT-9.27, and laptops, so the AC power/groundloops
wasn't an issue. The evidence was that the 1000 itself was the problem..  3
of the 4 radios required a cpu reset on arrival in XZ, and one of those
required another reset when we returned.  Seems probable the NV ram can get
some junk stored, confusing the issue. 

suggest you reset the cpu in the 1000 and try again- see the manual,  you
will have to re-load whatever you have changed in the menus.

this is much like ctl/alt/del in a PC -  it re-reads most stuff and seems
to run better
