This is your only choice.  When computer A logs a callsign, and computer B is off the network (for whatever reason) computer B doesn't get the QSO.  That's the way CT's network operates.  There's no resynchronization of the logs...there's no "server" that maintains a master log (anyway, if there were a server, it too would be subject to the same disconnections and missing QSOs).  Multi's with network trouble (or PC crashing/RFI problems) regularly have to merge logs at the end.
