Those small, outboard switch-mode power supplies that come with some
of the cheaper LCD monitors are likely to be your main source of QRM.
I have a Toshiba notebook that runs off one of those. Unless powered
from batteries, it rubs out the HF & VHF bands.
Festooning the supply with beads helped, but didn't eliminate the
hash. So I built an old-fashioned linear supply for it. No more QRM.
