OOPS! I screwed up. LPT1INIT fixes the problem on parallel ports, not serial
ports. I gotta read the e-mails more closely.
Sorry about the false alarm. I wonder if it's the same bug...I could write
a program to clear the offending bit on a serial port I suppose...
