Bob,
Add the -now switch to your shortcut.  That way you will only see a line asking which file you want to open up without seeing the opening screens.
Here's an example what my target line looks like:

"C:\Program Files\K1EA Software\CtWin\ctwin.exe" -vga -fo -now 

IF you want the shortcut to go to a specific log file immediately, include the file name without hte bin extension thus:

"C:\Program Files\K1EA Software\CtWin\ctwin.exe" -vga [filename]


I put the -enet switch first in the string if I am going to network.


As for the display, make sure you right click the main window and select "full screen."
No, you can't resize the windows within CTWin nor chane the number of log lines at the bottom. I see six lines plus the entry line in my setup.  It might ahve to do with the number of total lines on your screen.  Dunno.

One additional question....

I have experimented with changing the background colors in the various 
windows,
but in the super check partial window, I am not able to change the color of 
the non-worked stations
from the barely visible light gray or white, to a darker color.  I like the 
blue for the worked
stations, but I can't seem to change the background color in that window or 
the color
of the non-worked stations.  Has anyone had any success with changing this?

I have some questions on the windows in CT WIN – I am using an two FT1000MP’s 
networked via
the –enet switch with two WIN XP computers.

I enter CT Win by clicking on the CT WIN icon which I placed on my desktop, 
which then takes me
to the CT WIN screen and then I enter the contest, etc.

Is there a faster way to do this?

1) Can I change something in the properties in the CT WIN icon so that when 
I click it, it will
take me directly into the .bin file?

2) I am using the –vga switch and I have maximized the screen, and made the 
buffer large but the Super Check Partial and
the other windows are still quite small, in fact smaller than in CT DOS.

How can I make the windows them taller and wider?  Clicking/grabbing and 
pulling the corner of the window doesn’t do anything.

3) The actual window that shows the qso’s, shows only the last 5 q’s.  Is 
there a way
that I expand this to show more than the 5 q’s?  CT Dos showed the last 9 q’s.
