This was resolved at a meeting several years ago where several names were 
proposed, much discussion followed, and the group voted to change the name to 
Fourlanders VHF/UHF Contest Team, for the very reasons Brian mentions.

We have sent off the incorporation papers under the name we reserved- 
Fourlanders VHF/UHF Contest Team, Inc.  I hope this meets with everyone's 
approval.
