Next Fourlanders Meeting on June 30th

Hello everyone.  Well the time has come to start making plans for the
September VHF QSO Party.  Towards that end, I would like to have a meeting
on Saturday, June 30th.  This meeting will be a little different than our
usual format.  Gordan Macie, KS5M has volunteered to host us at his home for
the meeting and a premeeting cookout.  For those of you who don't know
Gordon, he has recently moved to this area.  At one time he was a fairly
active contester (HF and VHF) and DXer but he has been inactive for a while.
He has decided he wants to start getting back into the swing of things and
recently joined the SECC.  He contacted me through the SECC looking for some
folks doing VHF and above contesting.  I told him he had definitely found
the right bunch of fanatics for that.  Anyway, Gordan is interested in
finding out about the Fourlanders and operating with us in September.

The agenda is as follows:

11 AM to 1 PM - Grill burgers, hot dogs, eat and socialize

The format for this will be covered dish/everyone brings something.  Gordon
is supplying the grill, paper goods (plates, napkins, forks, knives, cups,
etc.) and a place to sit.  I will supply the hamburgers.  That leaves the
following list of required items:

1. Hot Dogs
2. Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns
3. Condiments and Fixings (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, relish, lettuce,
tomato, onion, cheese slices, etc.)
4. Potato Salad
5. Potato Chips
6. Baked Beans
7. Soft Drinks and/or Iced Tea (sweet of course)
8. Desert

Everyone pick something off this list and RSVP to ME what you will be
bringing.  I will coordinate and resolve any conflicts.

1 PM to 3 PM - Fourlanders Meeting

This will include officers reports, incorporation status, finalize location
and entry category for the contest, form band teams for the contest and
discussion of contest logistics.

K4EA - Neal, please come prepared with a financial report and club equipment
list.

NX9O - Brian, please come prepared with minutes for the last meeting, latest
membership list and web site info.

K4RF - Steve, please come prepared to talk about the incorporation status.
This would also be a good time to get any signatures on any documents that
are required since all the officers and board members should be at the
meeting.

Now, for direction on how to get to Gordons place.  Take I-85 to exit 111,
Suwanee.  If you are going South on 85 turn right.  If you are going North
on 85 turn left and cross over 85.  Go to the first traffic light after 85
(Burnett Road) and turn left (it is not far).  Stay on Burnett Road past the
old Falcons Inn and Training Center.  Burnett Road will curve sharply to the
right.  After that curve will be the entrance to the Northbrooke Square
Subdivision on the right (Autumnbrooke Way).  Turn right onto Autumnbrooke
Way and then after a very short distance take the next right turn onto
Northcliff Drive.  Stay on Northcliff Drive until you reach the cul de sac
at the end.  One note, Northcliff Drive makes a sharp turn to the left at
one point.  Keep going past that turn.  Gordons house is on the right side
of the cul de sac and is the only one with a red brick front.  The address
is 2790 Northcliff Drive and his telephone number is 770-271-0400 if you
need further help or directions.

Remember, please RSVP to me if you are coming to the meeting and let me know
what you are bringing.  If you are not going to be able to make it to the
meeting but you are planning to contest on the mountain in September please
let me know that also along with what band team you want to be on.  One
final reminder, if you haven't paid your dues yet please pay Neal, K4EA at
the meeting.  Remember, under the new constitution if you haven't paid your
dues you can't contest on the mountain.  I believe that just about covers
it.  If there is anything else you think I missed let me know.  Thanks and
