I still plan on operating the contest. I think that gas prices will recede
somewhat once supplies are normalized.

Unfortunately I need to be in San Diego on Friday, so I won't be up to the
mountain until Saturday morning. At this time I will try to stay for
tear-down, but I may need to head back to Atlanta on Sunday night.

Subject: [Fourlanders] Gas Next Week

I have to agree with Ron and Bob on this one. Last night was a zoo at
several of the gas stations near here. Luckily I had filled up a couple of
days earlier and just drove on by. Tonight things seem to be back to
normal. Like Bob said, this looks just like what happens at the grocery
stores when someone says "ice storm". A gallon of milk or loaf of bread
can't be found. I say lets give it a few days and evaluate where things are
on Tuesday night or Wednesday. I predict gas will be expensive but
available. I can even arrange for a conference call bridge that we can all
call into to talk and make a decision. Bob, let me know if you want to do
that. As far as the expense is concerned, I decided to skip Shelby this
year so that I could afford to go to the mountain. If you guys cancel the
contest op I will be POed.
