Oh Boy !!! Now I'm in a bind.........
I suddenly realize someone had temporarily changed the early morning contest strategy (with all that beautiful early morning haze in the valleys) and shifted the priority to waiting for those pancakes. I apologize now for not being in sync with the rest of the crew.
So, I will graciously thank, but turn down, Jim for the offer at IHOP and patiently await any further high altitude, light and fluffy, ugly or beautiful, pancakes that may surface at Soco Bald.
But, beware that in future similar situations I plan to exercise Executive Privilege (it comes with being VP of this organization, doesn't it ?) in regard to First Right of Refusal, ugly pancakes or gorgeous pancakes !
(Post Field Day exhaustion and hot Atlanta WX has put me in the mood to return to the mountain..........NOW !!)
Ron

Now I'm really disappointed that I couldn't come.
Not only missed the contest, but missed a very rare appearance by
Steve.....cooking pancakes no less!

Ron is correct that he never got his pancakes. I feel that we need to do
something to make up for this unintentional slight. Ron, you say when and
I
will treat you to pancakes at the IHOP in Buford.
When everyone else had to eat my pancakes, which Brian described as "the
ugliest pancakes I've ever seen," why should Ron be treated to the beautiful
pancakes at IHOP? Besides, if he had been less intent on contest Q's, and
more
intent on food like the rest of us, this whole incident could have been
avoide
