Welcome back.  Wow!!!  An SDR-1000!!!  I thought I made out good when I won
a Bird Wattmeter one year.  That with your microwave transverters will make
a nice setup.  I look forward to seeing it.  Yes, I reserved rooms for both
you and me at Huntsville.  I will just ride over with you if that is OK.
Let me know when you will be leaving.  I am also planning on going to
Shelby.  Julie will be out of town that weekend and I have her permission to
hamfest two weekends and then contest.  I am sure it will cost me something
in the future but what the hell.  I need to make a motel reservation for
Shelby.  I have the motel list but can't remember which one we stay at so
let me know which one it is.  Everyone seem pleased with the 6 meter setup
in June so I will bandcaptain and supply the gear for that band again.  I
assume we can use your amplifier again Bob.  We also need to schedule a
couple of work days before the contest.  I know of at least two or three
things we need to fix from June and there are probably others.  I will call
you and we can set those up.

Well, I'm back from Texas.  Central States Conference was excellent. 
The hotel was great and we got to eat a lot of good food and meet with a lot
of folks.  Hospitality suites every night too.  I won an SDR-1000 at the
banquet.  Al Ward gave a talk on using one as IF rig for a multi xvtr
microwave station.  I definitely want to do that with mine.  A real nice set
up.

It is time to start planning for the September contest.  I saw that there
was some reflector traffic while I was away.  I did manage to check my
e-mail and delete the spam once or twice while I was away.

We need to hear from those who wish to be band captains and all who are
planning to come so that we can make a decision about multi or limited
operation.  I will probably do whatever is left over or not covered by
others.  Anyway, let's get some traffic going on contest planning.

I am working on the problems with my equipment already.

PS, I am planning to go to Huntsville.  Jim has reserved a room for me I
hope.  I am going to be pulling my trailer over to pick up the dish from
Kim's that weekend.  He won't be home, but we'll be able to get it anyway
(yes, I'll pay him for it!)  If someone wants to ride with me that would be
fine.  I'm not taking anything to sell so even two can ride if they want.
Of course, you'll have to help with the loading.....

also planning to go to Shelby as usual.  expect a separate e-mail about the
plans for shelby.
