Jim,
I forgot to mention this to you on Sat. but a couple of us have already
been working behind the scenes in regard to that elevated angle, fixed
position 6 meter beam we talked about in June.
Now have the coax switch from NN4W.
Parts to modify the Gamma match on my older 5 element Cushcraft arrived
last week.
I have the roll of 100' of good Beldon 8214 coax.
All I need now is to pick up 3 pieces of 2x2 lumber from Home Depot and
put together the adjustable elevation support.
Once I get everything finished and piled up over the next 3 weeks, I
will then transport up to Bob's and store it in Big White so we have it.

Hey guys. Check out the World Above 50 MHz column in the September QST.
It describes the K8GP operation with a fairly detailed breakdown of
equipment and antennas. If you guys think we haul a lot of stuff to the
mountain check these guys out! One thing that I noticed was for 6
meters they are using a very similar setup to ours except they have TWO
six meter stations, each with it's own stacked pair of 5 element beams.
They also have two stations on 2 meters but the antenna setup for each
is different. One has four 5 element beams and the other has four 12
element beams. They also have fixed beams pointing to the NE. Anyone
have a spare small 6 meter beam I can borrow for the September contest
to use as a fixed beam to the NE?
