Hey guys, I received this request. What do you think? Should we help this
guy out? I am particularly interested in what Brian says since he is the
trsutee for W4NH and keeper of the logs.

Hi Jim .. Nothing sinister!
I built 13 new Windows PC's for K3LR to run a French Contest Logging program
named "Win-Test." It implements all but a couple of the "CT" Keyboard
Commands, so the learning curve is virtually zero. We won M/M in the CQWW
Phone Contest and all but two of use had not seen the software before.
Networking is via Windows, and 13 PC's went 48 hours without a crash. I'm
sure you would like the Grid Square Display for the VHF Contest.
Anyhow, I plan to Win-Test this June. One feature of Win-Test is "Exchange
Guessing." To do this, Win-Test employs two Databases - one to support
SUPER PARTIAL CHECK, and another to support "EXCHANGE GUESSING."
The "Exchange Guessing" Database normally uses data from PAST CONTESTS to
provide the EXHANGE INFORMATION given by that Station in the previous
Contest(s). In the case of the VHF Contest, to be of value, this must
contain the GRID SQUARE. The French have such a Database, but it is old and
only contains European Callsigns.
I would to make up my own using logs from some of the more active stations.

I will have to get with the rest of the guys and see if they are OK with
that. It would be helpful if you could tell us why you want our 6 meter
log.

Jim .. I wonder if you'd be willing to exchange 6M Cabrillo Logs for the
June VHF Contest??
Thanks and 73 ---> Dave, W9ZRX
