Things are going pretty well. The only person so far that had
originally planned to come and has had to cancel is WA4VJC. Everything
else is still on go.

It is time to start counting heads for food also. Please confirm that
you are coming and the meals you'd like to be included in. Jeff is
cooking again, and that alone is usually enough reason to come to the
mountain top for the weekend.

Meals on the mountain.
Friday: Dinner
Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Sunday: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Monday: Breakfast

Reply to me and indicate which meals you will be there for so Jeff can
plan the proper amount of food.

We need a microwave oven for the contest. The ones we have brought in
the past have gone away or found other uses somewhere. Surely one of
you has a spare small microwave that you can bring up for the effort.
It will stay inside one of the trailers where we keep the food and
coffee pot. I will again bring my coffee maker and supply the coffee.

We have had one productive work session here at the W4ZST QTH the
weekend before Dayton and have another planned for this Saturday, May
26. We'll be doing some antenna mounting plate updates, putting the
quick connect plates on the masts for the contest, making coax jumpers
as needed, putting the connectors on the hardline, organizing the
rotators and new rotator cables, packing up the 6m station, setting up
and testing the 2m station (good info and exposure for new folks), some
further work on the tower trailers, and whatever else we can find that
we need to do. Making our list and checkin' it twice.

It looks like we are not going to have to piggy-back any of the trailers
this time as we finally have enough volunteers. In fact, two of our
newest members are coming out for the contest and have offered to pull
the small trailers. Welcome to Kos N4NIA who lives in Snellville and
Bill KI4US who lives in BallGround. Bill went to Tech with Jim (I know
that's a tough one, but we'll have to live with it) and has moved back
to the area and interested in getting active. He went with us to Dayton
last weekend and really got bit by the bug!!

contest roster: Jim W4KXY, Sherman W4ATL, Bob W4ZST, Kim WG8S, Brian
NX9O, Ivan K4VJM, Ron WW8RR, Jim WE8W, Jeff W0ONR, Kos N4NIA, Bill
KI4US, Paul W4SKI, Steve K4RF and Mac K4RBM. Still haven't heard back
from N8CQ and we also have a couple of other possibles still thinking
about it.

That should do it for now. ONLY TWO WEEKS till we leave for the
mountain top. Reply about FOOD and a Microwave Oven. Thanks,

73 Bob W4ZST
