The amp is indeed one unit for both 6 & 2. Actually it works on 10, 6, and
2 as is is a broadband 30-150 mhz amp. Very heavy duty, two rack mounted
boxes (PS and amp) each 75 lbs and each approx 7 inches high, rack panel
width (20 inches) by 22 inches deep. I purchased the amp from Terry, K8ISK.
The K8GP group use these for high duty digital modes. Brian, ND3F, and
Jeff, WA3ZKH, use them at home. It runs on 240 volts and the PS produces
28v at 100 amps. I have attached the schematic that illustrates how to hook
up
both 6 and 2 rigs so you can
listen on both bands and when you key the mike, the amp moves the the
correct band for transmit.
Since the amp is broadband, it should have filters installed. I never got
that far...
Sure hope you can find a UHF operator and equipment. I sure miss it.
