Absolutely that is a big deal. Somehow that did not get acknowledged by the
group. As I am sure you know when the contest is on we can get a bit
absorbed in what we are doing. Congratulations on working NM during your
first 2M Es opening. Now you can tell folks at the next club meeting or
hamfest that you worked NM on 2 meters and listen to them tell you that you
are full of shit! Maybe we should get QSL cards so you can prove it to
them!

I mentioned it after I worked them, but I think everyone was busy doing
their own thing and maybe didn't hear me. I figured it wasn't any big deal
to the group, but I did get a kick out of working that kind of distance on
2m. I think there were two contacts to two NM grids in what was basically a
5 or 10 minute Es opening.

No kidding, Kos, do let us know! Not only do we want to congratulate you,
but what you're able to do might clue some of us in to where we might be
looking on other bands.

I worked Portugal on 6M on Field Day.... you can bet everyone there heard
about it! My first transatlantic 6m QSO!

No shit! Kos, you worked NM on 2 Meters during the contest! Let us know
when you do stuff like that. That doesn't happen every day.

Look over the logs. Kos worked NM and some other grids on 2m. I remember
seeing them in the log and talking to him about it. Kos, you need to brag a
bit and let the group know when you pull off a distant grid like that on 2m.
