[Fourlanders] Mile High Campground June and September

I may have forgotten to mention this in my previous postings. He is
supposed to be leaving fairly early Saturday morning. In the past we have
been able to get the bulk of the work done on Friday and sleep in a bit on
Saturday. We may not have that luxury this time. We may have to do what we
can on Friday and then get up early Saturday to see this guy on his way and
then hump to get the antennas up before 2 PM. We just will not know for
sure until we get there.

The situation is unfortunate.

We need to cross our fingers on finding a way or compromise for spotting the
6m trailer.

The 222 trailer can be assembled off to the side and manhandled into
location and cranked up pretty quickly.

The generator can be moved pretty quickly, but the cables are heavy. Running
it Friday evening may be questionable.

Yes, it will be a push to get it all on the air by 2pm. Even if it means
that other stations are delayed, we will need to muster together and make
sure that 6m and 2m ARE on the air at 2pm or as close to 2pm as possible.
That is the only way I see of minimizing the damage.

I suspect that we will have to walk a thin and careful line that Friday and
Saturday. If it goes poorly, we could have a worse problem. Please let's all
remember that Amateur Radio is poorly represented and perceived by the
general public. Mostly, we are considered dinosaurs with a similar life
expectancy. Let's see if we can turn this into on opportunity to show off
our hobby in a good way.
