Just saw this on 425 dx news. Sad to hear..I know a couple of us worked him
on 6 meters only a few days before.

Pierre J79PAK (HB9CUA) tragically died while on vacation in J7 on Aug 5th.
He was trying to rescue his daughter from the sea (who survived) when he got swept under a wave and was found some time later.
