Hi Bob,
I did hear you on several times last night. I didn't work any TI's.
I could bearly hear one of them. Some of the XE's were strong. My antenna is only 3 el at about 20' on an armstrong rotor. I have seen a few spots recently but had not turned on the rig. Rig had been off since probably early Sept. When I saw the spots last night I decided to give it a try.
It was exciting to hear the activity. I am redoing the entire 6 meter station and didn't plan on getting serious for a few months. Didn't have the logging software configured. Downloaed all the Microsfot updates. Updated 2 or 3 other programs. I was definitely multitasking during the opening :).
I don't normally hear much backscatter with my low antenna height but last night seemed to be much better than normal for scatter. I am hoping once the antenna is up and I increase my power that I can work more scatter and ground wave. I am chasing grid squares and I am missing a lot of close in stuff.
I'll look forward to seeing you on the band.
