It has been determined by NN4W that we do not need to update Write Log this time.

The current version we used in Sept. supports the K3 radios being used as the main engines for the 50 and 144 Stations this outing.

NX9O researched the latest version being offered and it does not offer any new enhancements we need.

WriteLog: From all the e-mails, I see that someone is checking on the version that we have to see if it supports the K3. We should have an upgrade available. I don't remember who was doing this, but thank you and let the group know ASAP in case we need to download the latest and get it disseminated to all needed. Jim, since you have the code word, why don't you download the latest and see what it has and then you can send the details to each band captain so we can download and install also.

6m HO loops: Glad to see Kos got on 6 and is having fun. I have an M2 6m HO loop and I will rig up a stacking mast for the contest. Kos if you will just bring your antenna, we will be able to use them stacked then. I will make up the phasing lines and mounting scheme as I have plenty of stuff here.

2.4 & 5.7 GHz: before I got to e-mails, I see that this has now been taken care of and others have found Bills e-mail address. We did talk about it on the way back from Dayton, but this is the first chance I've had to get to the 80+ e-mails in the inbox. We are go for this then. I also have some 802.11b PCMCIA cards, but none with external antenna connections. I have two or three USB 802.11g wireless adapters including a Buffalo that will take an external antenna. That should take care of the inventory. Bill is the band captain for this and if we can set up a workday weekend soon, we can bring all our stuff for Bill to get together. I also have a 2304 coffee can feed that has been tested before and works well. I have the gain chart somewhere. It has an N connector on it and is available. I also have a couple of 2304 six foot loop yagis available if needed along with an 18" dish with a tri-band feed for 2304, 3456 and 5760.

Workday: Either one of the next two weekends are fine with me, but I see that Jim isn't available until the one after (6/6-7). 6/6 is the Atlanta hamfest. I am available Saturday or Sunday for the next three weekends so let's get a consensus together on when we should have it to work best for all involved. Put you schedule/suggestions out on the reflector.

Dayton: Tom, send your pix to me separately. They weren't attached to your message and I'd like to see them.

Scott: I'll check for that old proceeding and if there are no more, I will scan my copy for the article you want. Don't forget Robin has a lot of 6154 info also.

That should get things started. Less than a month to the contest!!!!

Bob
