K5N is about to  happen! Weather outlook is great -- 6M E-Skip and Sun Spots for HF have been ordered 

Our Team is headed to Venice, LA getting ready for our 0600 Friday morning departure for Southwest Pass, Louisiana. 

Dates Active: May 29-31, 2009 - 1700Z-1700Z

May 26 update: We will now have 80M capability with an Inverted V.
Our HF Pilot Stations in Gulfport, MS are: BJ, KB5CSQ and Ed, KA5VFU & Jerry N5UCF

May 22 update: In addition to the two 6M Stations, we will have one station on HF (40-10M) using a TS2000 into a Cushcraft R7 Vertical. We will be on the published IOTA, USi and Light House frequencies.

Activation:  EL58hx, ARLHS USA 1101 under the “Visual Site Rule” and New Island: USi LA105S (Burwood Island, LA) (South West Pass).

Location: On a Sandy Beach facing the Gulf of Mexico, from Burwood Island, LA.

Band: Main Operation 6M with HF 40 though 10M

Stations: We will have three stations: Two on 6M and one on HF

Operating Frequencies:  50.100 CW, 50.150 SSB & 50.315 Meteor Scatter
