[Fourlanders] Group purchase of W1GHZ transverter boards and parts

Here's what I *think* I have figured out....

902 uses a 756 MHz LO to provide a 146 MHz IF
1296 uses a 1152 MHz LO to provide a 144 MHz IF
2304 uses a 720 MHz LO multiplied by 3 to 2160 MHz for a 144 MHz IF
3456 uses a 720 MHz LO multiplied by 5 to 3600 MHz for a 144 MHz IF

Somebody might want to check this out - I might be crazy!

It looks like that you could build a 2304/3456 transverter using a common 720 MHz LO.

Yes, a little newbe guidance would be helpful.

I plan to get a full set (900, 1.2, 2.4 and 3.4) , Does each one need a seprate LO kit?

I see transverters there and local oscillators.

Can anyone point me to a quick source of which LO one needs for which band?

I'm kinda new to transverters, so I may well be missing something obvious.

tnx & 73 de W4SKI

Guys,

This is from the microwave reflector.

Well, I have finally posted information about boards and part kits being offered along with a price breakdown for each item for a group purchase of W1GHZ transverters at:

http://w8iss.no-ip.org

The first page tells what I am 'planning' to offer and how its broken down. Then follow the link at the bottom of that page to the price list and ordering instructions.

Be aware that I have separated the boards and parts kits as I had some interest in just parts kits
and boards alone. PLEASE order accordingly for each band you want to operate on.

I wish to have all orders in by November 7th, 2009 so that I can TRY to have everything mailed BEFORE the Christmas mail rush. I have also requested that all purchases be done using a USPS money order so as to speed things up. I am not using Paypal as I am trying to keep the cost down.

Thanks,

James W8ISS
