As I sent in an e-mail to Scott today while watching and listening to the excitement >>>

"These guys aren't hard core like us.......Hell, we would have had someone bent over that amp with the skins off right during the heat of battle with meter in hand debugging the thing while the other operators continued on !! "

I was watching the video feed hours before their window opened and with about an hour to go I noticed a flurry of attention to the amp, people checking the Bird meter, wiggling coax, walking around looking at the rear of the amp, someone saying the grid current was doing funny things but with very little output, someone else on the telephone, etc.

I sensed an urgent issue brewing and wondered if they had a spare ready to "plug and play" !! I had this feeling of wanting to help, but could only say...."yep, been there and know the feeling"

Yep, having redundant systems certainly provides a partial feeling of security

Well... hearing about Aricebo losing their amp, I had to shake my head. Are they part of our group?
Murphy visits somebody else!
I would have at least expected us to have another amp ready to go!
;)

Murphy.

Just shaking my head,

73,
Kim
