The map is centered on France, but simply drag the map to the US then start to zoom in and begin clicking !

.....you will see the squares pop up and even give you Lat and Long where you clicked.

I don't know what's possible... (as in how much work to accomplish it)... but it would be nice if the grid squares would pop up as you panned the map.
