One word, or acronym, explains the anomaly in K5QE's score. EME

Well, I think they score differently than ARRL, but for reference:

K1WHS First Place Multi 126,880 with 639 Q's, 160 grids.
W4NH 11,529 with 154 Q's, 61 grids.
Marshall K5QE was Second place 96,117/384/161. He was Q and Grid leader
for US on 2m. He had more 2m Q's and Grids than on 6!! That's
interesting in itself.

Multi's ahead of us in the Southeast: W4MW EM96 NC, 45,162/396/78
and K4SME EM80 FL, 15,910/191/74. Multi's in KY and SC behind us.
Five Multi entries in 1 and 4 call areas, four in 2, three in 5, two in
3, one each in 7, 8 & 9, and none in 6.

One multi in Canada, eleven in Thailand!, eight in Ukraine, 5 in the
rest of the world. Multi is not a real large category in this contest
worldwide, but apparently is it the number one contest in Thailand!
Thailand had more entries than any other world country (except US) after
Ukraine. The even had many rover entries.

Our score here wasn't even as many Q's as last January VHF SS.

We will get a certificate for the contest according to the bold print in
the results article.
