Brian,

It would be relatively easy to take down my M2 Halos if you wanted to use one or
both for 6m. Wish I had seen this after you posted, I could have brought them to
work in Alpharetta to get them to you.

Kos

Subject: [Fourlanders] NX9O and CQ VHF Contest

It may surprise people, but I was not planning on operating or being
around much for the contest this weekend. I actually toyed with the
idea of doing an informal rove to the local grid corner (EM74, EM84,
EM73, EM83) and maybe out to Augusta to get the next two east (EM93,
EM92), then swing down just west of Macon to finish out (EM82, EM72).
I had even sold Anna on the idea when I said we could camp out
Saturday evening. Then I checked the weather maps...not such a good
idea as we will have our younger two children with us. Thunderstorms
are very likely. Work has also gotten in the way and there is still a
chance that they will want me there on Saturday.

I have the Icom 706MkIIg in the truck. I can easily mount my 144/222
pair of loops on the front bumper for the 144 coverage. I also have a
4-el 2M beam. I have 300w brick for 2M. I just don't have a 6M loop or
small 6M beam. For the local corner, I can likely just use a vertical
whip or simple dipole on 6M. If I go any further away I will something
better on 6M.

Any thoughts, requests or suggestions?

Brian
