[Fourlanders] [Fwd: Internet access this contest]

I've got a spare laptop that I can dedicate and designate for this type of operation going forward. As long as it will be running as a gateway, are there any other applications or services I can run on it that might prove useful?

Bill, does your VZ card have Vista drivers? I can strip the machine and load XP, but I'd rather keep it as it is if that will work.

I also have an unused copy of MS Server2003, but that might be a bit too much :)

Nope, my Sprint card died while I was unemployed and I chose to discontinue
the service and have not replaced the card or that functionality.

I will make sure to have my router as well as the old firmware versions with
me on the mountain. I believe that at some point of revising the firmware
the Linksys router stopped working with the Verizon card.
