In the continuing quest of finding stuff in the storage building, I have
found an interesting item for someone:

A homebrew, tube-type 144/21 MHz transverter and matching single 4x150
amplifier and PS. I know, it's sure dated technology, BUT they were
made to match the Collins S-line gear. They are built in S-line
cabinets and I might add, quite professionally too. Could use some real
lettering on the front panel instead of dymo label tape, but they are
laid out nicely and each unit has two nice Collins-looking meters on
them. These were made by Bruce Montgomery W4BFR (now SK, first licensed
in 1930) when he was an engineer at Lockheed in Marietta. All his
paperwork is in two file folders that come with the gear. This would be
a great addition to a Collins lovers station. Make offer.

Also from another SK sale: A Kenwood TS-940S transceiver, with matching
SM-220 station monitor, SP-940 speaker and MC-60 desk mike.
This was Kenwoods top of the line radio from 85-90. Built in Antenna
tuner and linear type PS. This radio has a transverter port built in
and also is one of the few radios that can be programmed to read VHF
frequencies for the transverer; 50/144/430. Would make a great IF rig
for one of those bands and cheap enough to make it the primary use. The
SM-220 does not have the bandscope module. The case tops show some
mottling, but everything is working, I have checked it out on RX and TX
on all bands, changed the internal batteries and cleaned it up.
$800 OBO and that's a steal.

Making these available here on 4-L list first.

Bob
