This made me think to ask. Is anyone going (driving) to Central States this
year? It is in Irving, TX and I am looking for someone to run by K5AND's
place in Austin to pickup another 6 meter antenna that he is donating to the
group. If you are planning to drive to K5AND's BBQ later this year that
will work also. Let me know and thanks.

Hello CSVHFS members:

Here's a newsy update for you with a few issues to bring to your
attention.

First, the upcoming conference in Irving, TX on July 29th and
30th. Most attendees traveling from a good distance will arrive
on July 28th and checkout on July 31st. You should have received
a postcard in the mail from Chuck Clark AF8Z (Conference
President) and his team.

The website is NOT complete yet about this year's event. In the
coming
days it will flesh out with details and registration guidance.
Standby for that.

Papers and Presentations: If you have a paper to share with your
fellow CSVHFS members, promptly contact Kent Britain WA5VJB (
wa5vjb at flash.net )and if routed to him promptly, it still could
make this years Proceedings. For Presentations, there is more
time to prepare. If you have a presentation, discuss with Kent
your topic and he will let you know if it will work or fit.

You will be hearing more from the conference hosting team shortly
(by email).
If you have questions, route them to Chuck AF8Z (
cclark4379 at earthlink.net )or Kent WA5VJB ( wa5vjb at flash.net ).
Don't just hit reply to this message--I'm just the Treasurer.

CSVHFS Members Reflector crashed

In mid-April, the reflector crashed and all subscribers were
dumped. While there is a backup system, it did not save us in
this case. At the time we had about 50 subscribers. This CSVHFS
reflector is optional and described at:
http://www.csvhfs.org/CSVHFref.HTML . Please visit that page and
consider subscribing or resubscribing.
