All good sources Ron. I didn't know that McMaster Carr did aluminum tubing.

Jim,
We have multiple sources for the .375 aluminum tube stock in 6 foot lengths
without a minimum purchase or "cutting charge".

In fact, if all else fails I could call in an order to McMaster Carr for 2
pcs of part number 9056K631 @ $25 ea and let you go pick it up on your lunch
hour at their Will Call.

However, if the Aluminum Guy (from Mich) is again at the Lawrenceville
Hamfest, we could get it from him slightly cheaper.
Also, we can have Bob check his "Bone Yard" for some pieces

Thanks for the antenna Dick. It will make a great addition to the W4NH 6
meter arsenal. Just one question though. Can you suggest someplace to
purchase the aluminum tubing? I have tried to buy stuff like that here in
the past and always ran in to the $500 minimum order issue. Thanks again.

Morning, Bob...

Skip and Janet just left; they're great folks and I really enjoyed chatting
with them.

Here's what's coming:
1) predrilled and marked boom (approx 16')
2) 4 assembled and marked elements (you'll have to make the driven element)
3) element to boom brackets with attaching screws and nuts
4) driven element element to boom insulator with hardware
5) balun I had on hand
6) documentation packet with 'screenshots' off my computer of swr, gain,
f-b, pattern, matching info etc

Things you will need to make/do:
1) buy two six foot sticks of .375" alum tubing for DE
2) fabricate a boom to mast plate
3) make the hairpin
4) 'tune' the DE and hairpin

That's about all I can think of.
Please phone/email with any questions that come to mind.

Best regards to you and Miss Judy for the weekend,

Dick
