[Fourlanders] old callsign request

I wish I could recall the exact details, but we ran into this on some 
mailing lists that I run on febo.com.  What happens is that if the email 
sender uses a non-standard string (I think it's supposed to be "----" -- 
exactly four dashes with no spaces) to separate the message from the 
quoted reply, or other acts, the mailing list software thinks that the 
separator is intended to mark the beginning of a mime attachment (e.g., 
not text portion) and the list software doesn't pass it.  It's a really 
weird and subtle problem, and I just can't recall the precise details. 
But using the separator string properly solves it.
