Here is the latest. I talked to Mac just before Dayton and then again at Dayton and he has decided to come along with us again and will pull Great White. So that puts us in the same shape as last September with all the trailers taken care of and not having to borrow Brian's truck to pull Great White.
The only other change on trailer pulling is that Johnny will pull his new trailer and we will use his for the 2m antennas and Jim will pull Ron's trailer with the 432 antennas.
I will pull my trailer with the golf cart like I've done for the past few contests.
We end up with at least 11 folks on the mountain Friday afternoon for set-up as Kim and Jim Rogers are also planning to be there then, so I think that's really a full crew and we shouldn't have any problems with that.
I will have a food update out shortly, and I think I have it all figured out though.
Going to change the oil and get the tire fixed on the generator this week.
We need to have a workday next weekend at the latest to get the 6m beams down and packed for the contest. I just can't do it by myself and my back has been hurting again lately. Next Saturday is the Atlanta hamfest, but I don't think I'll go so Saturday or Sunday next weekend, June 1,2 would be available. Let me know who is available and which day you prefer and we'll then schedule it. Really only need a couple of folks and myself to do it. I am also free tomorrow on Memorial day if that would work out better for some of you and we could get it over with then.
I had a lightning strike last Wednesday. Worst lightning and closest I've ever seen since I moved up here. Lost two routers and my main computer and Judy's computer. Have gotten another computer running, but haven't been able to recover my bookmarks and e-mail addresses yet. Went through some data files on the old drive (which won't boot) with NotePad to find some addresses today. Mac had it even worse with a strike at his place.
All for now and I think we are in good shape for the contest.
Bob
