[Fourlanders] WriteLog Update

   Gang,

   I've been doing some work with WriteLog try to figure out the new version.
   I am using a $99 dollar refurbed PC from Microcenter that I have set up just
   for logging functions.  It is dual boot, XP Pro and Windows 7 Home Edition.
    I have WriteLog loaded into both environments.  The official club copy of
   V11.11 seems to have gone missing so I bought the license for  V11.14 (the
   most current version).  When loading it into XP I did get the message about
   needing Microsoft.net version 3.5 or higher so I downloaded and updated that
   to SP1.  That did get me to wondering, to the extent that PC's are used just
   for  logging,  is  everyone on the same .Net release and update level?
   WriteLog will load and run without .Net but "all functions do not work" or
   so says the release notes.

   The big problem in September seemed to me to be Sched's and to a lesser
   extent Chat.  Over the years, how have you all tested that?  I have two
   other XP machines (actually three) so I thought I would try setting up a
   network here at home and try running those functions.  If somebody has a
   testing network for WriteLog already set up, please let me know - no sense
   in doing double work.  If all of this work has already been done, again, let
   me  know.   It would be nice to know that all of this will work before
   January.   Being kind of a quiet person, yelling at each other or even
   gently throwing things at each other to get someone's attention probably is
   not the most efficient way to pass a contact from one station to the next.

   One thing I do know already - it runs faster in windows 7.

   So, that's where I am with all of this at the present time.  Suggestions
   welcome.
