As discussed with Scott I'm carefully watching this dome of high pressure
moving in from the north, bringing coolness and dry.
No hurricanes in the gulf or east coast this time, the upper New England and
mid-west states will also be dry and under high pressure by Sat afternoon,
and by Sat. evening the leading edge of the high pressure front will be far
into Florida.
Conditions like this always helps the higher frequency bands.
Looking back over my VHF June & Sept. logs and grids harvested since 2007
database, the highest grid counts on 432 have always taken place in the
Sept. Contest with similar conditions.
In Sept 2007 we scored 32 grids and in Sept. 2009 we scored an exceptional
39 !!

It's all good! Still very little chance of rain, and I probably overstated
how chilly it might get.
It will probably be chilly at night, but most likely the 40's, not the 30's.
