Well, we had a workday on Saturday. Brian NX9O, Jack K5FSE, Kos N4NIA, Jim W4KXY, Scott NN4W and myself. We got the 6m and 2m antennas in the air before it started raining. I had already put the trailers in position and leveled them up the day before. Then Brian worked on his 222 station that I had ravaged over the past 12 months. He did get everything back together. Jim and I set up most of the 6m station and he updated his 6m contest computer. Copying beacons on each of those stations. Thanks for coming up and doing that work guys.
Another workday on Monday. Ron WW8RR, Johnny K4SQC, Jack K4FSE and myself. We got the 432 4-yagi H-frame up along with the 432 omnis. We also got the 222 trailer set up and the antennas in the air and feedlines run.. All were tested with the analyzer. Thanks to Kim for sending me his AIM UHF analyzer for all the testing.
I plan on getting on the air in the next week or two on nets on 6, 2, 222 and 432 to test out the antennas and stations. Kos will bring and set up his 2m station when he finishes using it for an upcoming RTTY contest. Ron is planning on coming up Sunday, Jan 5th to bring his 432 station to set up for the contest. Anyone else wanting to come to visit on Sunday is welcome, but we don't really have much set-up work to do. We will be putting up the new 2m omni antennas that Ron has built and running some feedline for those and probably testing them too.
We have reservations for the 6 beds in the house already and Kos is bringing his one bed camper for himself. If there are any others who want to stay, there is space for several cots/sleeping bags in the house. Kos can bring his 3 bed camper if we have that much demand. Be sure to let me know if you are planning to spend Saturday night, if you haven't already. A couple of folks who live close are going to sleep at home.
Jim WE8W has had to back out due to another business trip to Germany.
We do have plenty of ops for the contest, but if you haven't signed up, we still can work it out. Let me know.
73, bob
