Hope you guys don't mind me posting this stuff on the reflector first. Just thought maybe someone might be interested.

I have decided to part with my Dad's old shop equipment. I've never gotten around to setting it up again after I got it. Grew up on it in the basement of our house. I just have too much stuff and too little time.

Anyway, the tools are 1940 vintage Craftsman and were purchased new by a friend of my Dad's here in Dahlonega. He sold them to my Dad in 1950 when he moved away. I have the original 1940 Craftsman tool catalog that they were listed in.

I'd love to find someone who would like to keep these tools together, restore them and put them in a classic working shop. Remember when Popular Science had the 'Worlds best home work shops"? I think it was PS.

They mostly just need cleaning and fresh paint. No major problems with any of them other than being from 1940. They are several years older than I am!!

I can send pix and descriptions to whoever may be interested.

8" Table saw, all cast iron including the base. Rip fence and miter gauge
4" Jointer (this one is Companion not Craftsman), fence, blade cover
12" Bandsaw, Aluminum doors
12" table top drill press
36" x 8"? wood lathe
Larger Jig saw with removable upper arm to also use with saber type blade
Smaller fixed upper arm Jig saw, stand and motor
(both these jig saws are all cast iron)
Shaper that needs a new spindle shaft (I think a Rockwell will fit it)
I think that's all. I'll throw in all the old (working) motors that were with them.
Another 4" craftsman jointer that wasn't part of those tools, not as old, stand, motor

I also have two more modern tools (circa 1975) of mine to sell:
Craftsman 10" Radial Arm Saw, little used, metal legs, needs new MDF table top
Craftsman 10" Belt drive table saw with motor, homemade wood floor stand, crappy rip fence just screaming for a Biesemeyer! Never got around to it!
An even newer 12" Hitachi floor stand planer, never used.

Let me know if you are interested. I might even consider trades for radio stuff as you all know I'm real low on my inventory there!!!!!

I'm not giving up. I still have a another 10" table saw, 14" band saw, floor model drill press, belt/disc sander, 8" miter saw, another wood lathe and probably more stuff that I can't even find here at Casa de Chaos.

Thanks, bob
