Things are going well for the contest. Thanks to Johnny for coming up twice to help me and Ron coming one day, the main antennas are up and ready. We even got the microwave antennas up and I've gotten the old station revived, after having pilfered cables, connectors and other items from it since it was last used a couple of years ago.

We will have to put the 6m and 2m omni's up on Saturday morning.

A few folks have had to drop out for various reasons, but we've got 7 full time folks staying over and Sherman will come up to operate on Saturday. Some other local hams will come by to visit on Saturday or Sunday too and maybe some will operate.

We will be on all bands from 6 thru 2304. I felt that we would place higher in January if we enter full-multi, even with little prospect for a lot of microwave activity. We will of course have the option to go either way.

We will meet for lunch Saturday at 11:30 at Roosters for those on the way up and those of us already here.

I have the food taken care of for the remaining meals for those who have signed up. We'll have BBQ Brisket, beans and slaw for Saturday night. Sunday we'll have Pancakes and sausage for breakfast, chili dogs and chips for lunch, and we will pick up pizza for those remaining on Sunday evening. Bring your own beverages as usual.

See you here, Bob
