[Fourlanders] January VHF contest

Hey Bob, I was planning on being there with the 2m station as expected. I may be able to get up there for one day the previous weekend to help with any setup duties, but that would make three weekends away from home in January for me, and the only weekend available to help out with any work sessions.
Thanks,

Kos

I just realized that it's only 3 1/2 weeks till the contest so I'm a
little late getting this notice out although I did send a note before
Christmas about work weekends (and got little response).

The contest is the last weekend this month, January 30 and 31, even
though some calendars had it wrong on the prior weekend. Contest starts
at 2PM on Saturday and is over at 11 PM on Sunday evening.

We are planning to do the contest from here at the W4ZST QTH as usual.
Folks wanting to operate need to let me know and those wanting a bed for
the contest weekend need to let me know also.

I expect the usual band captains: Johnny K4SQC for 6m, Kos N4NIA for
2m, Bob W4ZST for 222 and Ron WW8RR for 432. If I have time and help,
I'll also try to set up some microwave antennas so that we can enter as
full multi again. That puts us higher in the standings in January for
some reason, even with minimal microwave contacts.

Johnny and I have already put up the 6m antennas although they may have
a problem as I related in another e-mail. I'm sure I'll have time to
get that problem resolved, even if it's "In the chair"!! We also got
the 2m tower trailer and the 222 trailer mast positioned and levelled up
ready for antennas which we will do when we have another work session.

There you have it. Some advance warning. So let me know your plans.

Bob
