[Fourlanders] latest computer and contest update

On our Thursday workday, Ron found a couple of minor problems that may 
have been causing the 2m station issues.  The 2m station did reproduce 
the WL lock-up problem that morning and Ron got to see that and work on 
it.  Since then, all the computers have stayed networked, continuing to 
CAT, F2, live PPT/audio, CW, etc. with no problems now at 1PM on Saturday.

On Thursday, Jim, Ron, Johnny, Rick KK4LPP and myself were here and I 
also had Jason here doing yard work who pitched in with some of the 
contest prep for us.  We jockeyed the trailers into contest hook-up 
position, check the air in all the tires, greased Jacks and pulleys, 
etc.  Rick took the 16' trailer for a test run and was very happy with 
the pull and testing his new brake controller.

Jim was here on Friday also helping me with other shack problems 
unrelated to the contest and I really appreciate his help.  I now 
actually have some things off the to-do list!

I will continue to test and monitor the computers and plan to leave them 
on as much as possible but probably will shut down for thunderstorms.  I 
expect that the band captains will be able to pack up the stations this 
coming week or whenever they end up with time available.  Several of us 
are planning to go to the Shelby hamfest for Friday and Saturday, Sept 1 
& 2.
