We thought that things were good on 6 on Sunday during the contest. Apparently there was a big Es opening on 2 meters Tuesday night. See the report below.

> If anyone has any screen captures from any of these during last night's east coast Es opening I would like to have a copy. I am trying to drum up more local interest in V/UHF weak signal operating and want to write up a report on this opening. I am also working on a weak signal presentation.

> I walked into the shack about 2120z to see that the band was or had just been open from the northeast to the midwest. Waiting for the amp to warm up I heard KE4TWI who I could not quite work barefoot. He faded before the amp was ready. I don't know how much I may have missed.

> When the amp was ready I began putting out a few CQs. I was called by KD4ESV in EL87 - a distance of 1436 miles. Samuel had been telling me we would work sooner rather than later but to be honest I didn't believe it. I have never seen tropo that would support that from here and Es at 144 MHz is very finicky stuff, especially up here in the north. The band was in/out to northern Florida for more than an hour. I worked KD4ESV EL87, WA4GPM EM90, N4TUT EL98, N4TWX EL89.

> I was too busy going crazy with the opening to save the best screen captures! DX insanity takes over, you know. I did manage to save a few audio clips thanks to Loop Recorder. I'll be going through those after antenna work today.
