I think I'm overdue on getting an update out but we were waiting on some
info.
All is GO. We have the ops and trailer pullers available to make the
contest.
We have 11 ops coming. Jim Rogers just let me know that he is now
available and coming also. We have:
6m band captain, Johnny K4SQC, pulling Great White (Johnny will again
use the Flex 6500 on 6m)
2m band captain, Kos N4NIA, pulling 6m-ChuckWagon-222ANT (Kos has a new
BEKO 2m amp for the contest)
222 band captain, Bob W4ZST, pulling Radio Flyer 6m tower trailer (and
the NX9O 222 station as usual)
432 band captain, Ron WW8RR, pulling the generator trailer (and his 432
station)
Bill KI4US, pulling the BlackHawk 2m tower trailer
Kim WG8S, pulling Ron's 432 tower trailer
Jerry W5TDY, pulling the small white trailer, for a spare mast and
storage and sleeping
Other operators are Jim W4KXY, Sherman W4ATL, Jim WE8W and Paul W4SKI
(both Paul and Jim are backup trailer pullers. No problems this time
with volunteers)
I have been checking tires and lights on the trailers but will probably
need some further help on a workday and the 6m, 2m and 222 antennas need
to be taken down here and loaded for the contest. We have purchased a
couple of new tires for some of the trailers that were needed.
Jerry and I will be sharing the cooking. He's tempting us again with
talk of 'Brisket' and I'm planning Brats and German Potato Salad for one
meal. The usual breakfasts and lunches.
Jim has verified the reservations and I will check about the golf cart
situation with Glenn.
So we are good to go. Any additional ops wanting to sign up are
welcome. We just need to know soon for food planning. I will publicize
workdays when they are planned. I could use some help this coming
Memorial Day weekend if anyone is available. We can take down 2m and
222 and move some trailers. The weather does not look good every day
next week so maybe we could make some progress. Anyone available let me
know.
Thanks and 73, Bob
