Thanks for the info Johnny.  Yeah, I know about these great debates.  I have even participated in a couple.  If you really want to stir the pot then bring up crimp versus soldering connectors.

I have been to this a couple of times and it is a good way to spend the day.  It is mostly about HF contesting but they do have  track on VHF contesting.  As usual there are sometimes great debates as can happen only in Ham Radio.  One year I heard that N-connectors were the devil's spawn and the very next year I heard that only a fool would use a PL-259 for anything  If you have the time it really is a good conference if you are interested in contesting.  I'd be willing to bet there will be a whole bunch of uproar over FT8 this year.

I was reading about Contest University today.  Mostly HF oriented but there is some good stuff applicable to VHF contesting there.  Thinking about attending.  Anyone on here ever do Contest University and was it worthwhile?
