Good morning, partners!
 
Here is the latest for the possibility of severe storms today across north and central Georgia. 
 
Changes from the Previous Update
- The Enhanced Risk has been shifted over the Carolinas, and no longer includes Georgia. A Slight Risk is still in place.
- Expect Tornado Watch to be issued this morning, particularly for western Georgia. - Timing is slightly faster than previous forecast, but not by much.
 
What
Scattered Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Expected with the main threats being
  - Damaging Wind
  - Large Hail
  - Isolated Tornadoes
 
When and Where
Already seeing a band of thunderstorms in central Alabama this morning, and expect it to enter northwest Georgia around sunrise and continue south/east across the state through Sunday evening. A Tornado Watch is in place for most Alabama counties already this morning, and several tornado warnings were issued overnight. 
 
In addition to the severe threat, winds will remain high outside the storms due to the pressure gradient over the region. As a result, a Wind Advisory has been issued for all of north and central Georgia through 10 PM tonight.
