The YouTube links that W3CP provided in his email give a great feel for the operation and features of the Remote Hams software. The W6SFG demo of the client software running on his computer is VERY similar to what you will also see when downloading the RCForb app to your smart phone.
You don't HAVE to have a personal radio running on the Remote Hams website to download the client app to your phone or PC and do some exploring as to what radios are on-line world wide. You can download the
PC Software and/or Phone app (Android or iOS) for free and try it !
http://www.remotehams.com/
FYI…I currently have 2 radios in my shack I am able to control remotely. An Icom IC-7100 and an Icom IC-7610.
Some of you may have seen demos my portable Icom IC-7100 station using the RemoteRadio interface boxes. http://www.remoterig.com/wp/ There is no software involved with that set-up. You simply carry the radio head around and connected to one of the interface boxes that connects to the internet (WiFi or Ethernet) to communicate with the other interface box back in my shack connected to the IC-7100 radio unit.
That is an entirely different remote control radio station than that of my IC-7610 which is on-line with the Remote Hams website and currently running as a "private station" with just a handful of people having full access to it.
I can access the 7610 remotely by using the PC version of RCForb Client SW running on a laptop, on my Samsung phone using the Android version of RCForb, or….on my laptop using the Icom RS-BA1 ver2 SW.
As I said above, you don't HAVE to have a personal radio running on the Remote Hams website to download the client app to your phone or PC and do some exploring as to what radios are on-line world wide.

No...but I looked at it during Hamvention. Not as impressed with it as I have been with Remote Hams client and server software....and that's FREE SW.
Also puts the Icom RS-BA1 software to shame, not to mention you cant run the Icom SW on your phone.
I think you may remember I showed you where my 7610 is now on the Remote Hams website as a Private station.
Before buying MFJ's, let me demo Remote Hams for you and explain its power.

Anyone using the MFJ RigPi to remotely control an Icom 7300? I want to setup my 7300 for remote operation and this looks like a good way to do it. Thanks.
