[Fourlanders] 23 cm and contest weekend

Hello folks,
Jack KM4ZIA and Audrey KM4BUN have been busy resurrecting  a DSE2345LYK 45
element loop yagi for 23cm.
So far, it looks like it has gain, but it's all in the wrong places.
Seeing as how we operate on a limited budget, it was well worth the $35 I
paid
for it at the  "Year of the Bone-Yard-Volcano" at Dayton.

But after seeing the spectrum analyzer plot, Ricky Ricardo would say " We
have some tuning to do" !

Plus, I'm trying to find time to build a 23cm preamp with an RF-sensed
relay.
I've borrowed a re-flow oven from work to complete the build.

Most all of our lighting mitigation is done.
We've seen and heard a few stepped-leaders attach to the Poplar trees in
our backyard.
But so far, our HF, VHF and UHF stuff weathered the storms without
incident.
The kids will be performing some additional cad-weld thermite
bonding as soon as the one-shots arrive from DXE.

Audrey has us set up on the Slack reflector - so far I like it, how about
you?
