50 watts on 6m, 2m, 25 watts on 220 and 35 watts on 70cm. Range depends a
lot on the other station and conditions. Without any e-skip or ducting, 2 m
is usually about 60 miles to HT 80miles to Mobile and 100+ to base. That is
a VERY general estimate. I have made 110 mile contact HT to HT with 5 watts
a few months ago, we were both on mountains.
6m will be a Horizontal Moxon, 2m and 70cm is served by an Elk Log
periodic. And 220 is with a commercial 6 element yagi. I have to go with
smaller lightweight antennas because all this has to be back-packed up a
mountain. The power multiplier is the elevation so I give up some on the
power and antenna gain.
