[Fourlanders] Win4Yaesu

I would assume Win4Yaesu is created by the same person that created Win4Icom (VA2???).

Some time ago I tested Win4Icom with my 7610. I was comparing it to the Icom RS-BA1 remote control software.
At the time you could download a trial 30 day version of the software and try it for awhile to see if you liked it.

I did try it and It worked fine in a number of ways, but was missing a few things the RS-BA1 offered. But then also, the Win4Icom offered other nice features that the RS-BA1 lacked.

I just never purchased the Win4Icom suite and used it as my primary software for remote control because I invested in my Remote Rig boxes for my IC-7100 and have been using that radio in remote operation more than the 7610.

But you should be able to download the Yaesu suite for 30 days and try it out.

Subject: [Fourlanders] Win4Yaesu

Does anyone in our group have any experience with Win4Yaesu or any
software that is similar for Yaesu's? I am trying to help a ham friend
who has vision problems and would like to have a larger display for a
Yaesu FT-991. I know the newer yaesu's like the DX10 and FT710 have DVI
connections but unfortunately the 991A doesn't.
It looks like Win4Yaesu might do the job and I"d like to help this ham
out but would really like someone with hands on experience to weigh in
and give me some advice.

Thanks and 73, Bob W4ZST
